A New Look

Anabel and Alicia all ready for their first day of school - January 2008 (Clara was not to be left out!)

In 2007 we were informed that the blue fabric, that has been characteristic of ALPHA's school uniform since we started in 2000, was to be totally discontinued. Impossible...so we thought. Ok, we will just go and find a factory that will make it for us. That proved to be totally impossible. Ok, then we will change our school color. How about black? They won't discontinue that any time soon, will they? The chances of that happening are probably next to impossible!

Jessica's first day of school at Fortaleza Academy.

What happened to Jessica? ALPHA presently only goes through the 9th grade. Jessica finished that up in December, so she was forced to move on. She is attending classes at FORTALEZA ACADEMY, a school for missionary kids, doing the 3rd quarter of 9th grade.
It has been quite a change. Besides moving away from home (Fortaleza is 3-4 hours away) suddenly all her classes are in English and now she goes to school ALL day just like kids in the US. She was used to ALPHA's class schedule, which runs from 7:00 am to 11:30 am. How is she doing? So far the social life seems to suit her quite nicely and we think she just might actually survive ALGEBRA. :)
You can e-mail Jessica at jessicastucky@gmail.com.

Black?!? The sun is always over head there in Brazil! You could have tried for dust brown. Then if the students didn't clean their cloths then they wouldn't get into trouble.
I am glad that Bosco is doing better.
