Our British friends, Mike and Daveen Wilson, live in the bush about 30 minutes from Mossoró. When the rainy season starts, these lily like flowers bloom all over the landscape. They last only a short time and only bloom once a year. Daveen brought me a "bouquet" of these gorgeous flowers which graced our table for about a week.
Ken took this video of some of the smallest monkeys in the world. They live in the trees at the home of friends of ours (about 3 hours from Mossoró). Just in case you doubted whether or not monkeys like bananas....

Cute monkeys and pretty flowers. My sister had a pet monkey when we were kids........ bit the tarnation out of me! Only liked her.
Were the lilies really potent?
